The Ascending Stage

headed for the verdant hill
oh what a pleasant thrill
six homegrown saplings in tow
three each jackfruit and avocado 

jolly commotion on the way up
greeted by an approaching flock
of majestic red-whiskered bulbuls
so full of life, free and joyful

intoxicating blooms of summer
kaleidoscopic butterflies aflutter
lives some measured in days
unconcerned by man's ways 

peacefully adrift in nature's flow
her secrets veiled in mystic glow
far from the madding crowd
all's transient like passing cloud

The Descent Back to Earth is Perceived Prior to the Ascent

And  if we find this solution too difficult for us, then there is no hope for man or the world, because all our outward panaceas and  saccharin moralities are ultimately doomed to annihilation and destruction by those hidden inner powers: "The only way out", Sri Aurobindo wrote, "is through the descent of a  consciousness which is not the puppet of these forces but is greater than they are and can force them either to change or  disappear."

I have seen the building of Auroville as concurrent with the Supramental Vision-Goal since even before its inception in 1968.
