Purpose

What is yours?
To simply maintain
And wildly entertain
In a world of evolution
Homo sapiens?

Then in Auroville
You have a place—
A potent example
To intensely compel
The awakening soul
To something else.

As Auroville's Purpose
Is quite obvious—
The City of Dawn
Of a new species
Beyond the limitations
Of Homo sapiens.

The Eternal Truth,
The Sanatana Dharma,
Unity in Diversity
Will not truly be
If there were no contraries.

The good news
Of Impermanence
Is that one's particular place
In the Play of Hierarchies
Is never fixed.

You can at any time choose,
When the hammerings of the gods
Pains too much,
To backspace
To move sideways
Until aligned in resonance
With Auroville's Purpose.

No occult secrets,
Like lightning striking in the open,
The Three Core Documents:

Auroville's Vision-Goal
And Prime Directive
Are quite obvious.
So no dramatic excuses
For the Ignorance
As we know what happens
To things out of resonance:
First it becomes a dis-ease
Then rejected by Beingness.

Out in the open the Choice:

Auroville's Purpose
Or obsolescence.

I have seen the building of Auroville as concurrent with the Supramental Vision-Goal since even before its inception in 1968. It is a collective Integral Supramental Sadhana unfolding in space-time toward the Divine Manifestation—a process that will take a few more generations. The Divine, undivine and anti-divine in a concentrated cauldron: "Auroville belongs to nobody in particular. Auroville belongs to humanity as a whole."
