The Bored Human

Although still obviously undivine

"…our present life is undivine and all the life too that is below us."

The easily bored human
Pestered by dissatisfaction
Is seized by a divine frenzy

"The animal is satisfied with a modicum of necessity; the gods are content with their splendours. But man cannot rest permanently until he reaches some highest good. He is the greatest of living beings because he is the most discontented, because he feels most the pressure of limitations. He alone, perhaps, is capable of being seized by the divine frenzy for a remote ideal." ²

This Divine Frenzy
Leads to the realisation
Of Who is within
The bored human:

The Eternal and Infinite One

The Divine.

And thus the ultimate ideal
To transcend man the transitional
Becomes not just a blind obsession,
But a Conscious rEvolution.

The Avatar is born.

A Conscious Decisive Action
A timed Mandate of Heaven
Willed by the Supreme.

A must choice, an option
Has since been offered
To all bored and battered
Awakening human:

“Why is the choice imperative?”

“Because we are at one of the ‘hours of God’ as Sri Aurobindo puts it—and the transforming evolution of the world has taken a hastened and intensified movement.” ³

From only remotely a seed,
A Dream,
Becomes the nurtured sapling,
The Auroville Charter,
And the defining Vision-in-Action,
To Be a True Aurovilian

"There should be somewhere on Earth a place...

But, to live in Auroville, one must be a willing servitor of the Divine Consciousness...

A youth that never ages...

The first necessity is the inner discovery...

At the centre there is a being free, vast and knowing...

The whole earth must prepare itself for the advent of the new species, and Auroville wants to work consciously to hasten this advent.
