City of Dawn of the Divine Event


Many lifetimes later, Circa 2025:

We have reached the City of Dawn
On its 57th year since inception 
Wherein the awakened Gods
Have been busy churning the humans
In preparation for the Divine Manifestation.

What will happen next?

Here Sri Aurobindo elucidates and gives sense to the unfolding Divine Play, specifically the distinctness of Mother India and Her people. This to also understand that the paradigm-shifting Supramental Vision-Goal behind Auroville can only happen in Mother India.

"The true nature of the Indian polity can only be realised if we look at it not as a separate thing, a machinery independent of the rest of the mind and life of the people, but as a part of and in its relation to the organic totality of the social existence. ...

"But in the actual condition of humanity, its ignorant and devious nature subject to perversions and violations of the true individual and the true social dharma, there has to be superimposed on the natural life of society a State, a sovereign power, a king or governing body, whose business is not to interfere unduly with the life of the society, which must be allowed to function for the most part according to its natural law and custom and spontaneous development, but to superintend and assist its right process and see that the Dharma is observed and in vigour and, negatively, to punish and repress and, as far as may be, prevent offences against the Dharma."

The Auroville Charter unequivocally states:

"But to live in Auroville, one must be a willing servitor of the Divine Consciousness."

That implies also its opposite, willing servitors of the undivine consciousness, even anti-divine. The ego-bound anarchists and tamasic exponents of the past that seeks to endure. They are very active here in Auroville, as we observe and experience.

For normal aspiring humans like us, that will be difficult or even close to impossible to counter-check.

Thus the need of the Government of Mother India in not just maintaining the balance, but to tip the balance in favour of the New Supramental Dharma, the individual and social transformation needed towards the difficult Vision-Goal of a Divine Manifestation of the new apex species the Supramental being that is the very rationale of this City of Dawn envisioned and founded by the Avatar Sri Aurobindo and the Mother:

"The whole earth must prepare itself for the advent of the new species, and Auroville wants to work consciously to hasten this advent."

The Supreme Divine Mother MahaShakti

A dear friend asks, "I would like you to explain to me once more how the Mother, as Mahashakti for you, could challenge all the gods and goddesses of the creation to become the 'boss' in this active world.  You talked once about a cosmic work of surrender, it was so interesting."
