A Shared and Lived Divinity

"The Divinity mentioned by Sri Aurobindo is NOT A PERSON…

He insisted a lot on this.

“… is not a person, but a condition to be shared and lived by all those who prepare themselves for it.”

To those who "are silly, they still feel, “Oh, if I could stay very quiet, then I would change.” They need a slap. That’s all.

There's still some friction."

From who, again? Here, for those who still don't get it:

"There was a rather interesting phenomenon (it was yesterday or the day before), amusing little details: now the last member of the Government of India has been converted, so to speak. All the members of Government (the Central Government—I don’t mean the whole country, but of the centre), all the members of the Central Government are … (what should I say?) I could almost say “apprentice disciples of Sri Aurobindo,” with a great goodwill to serve.

And everywhere, everywhere in the world, the signs of a CONSCIOUS goodwill awakening."

"And then, resistances are clearly expressed as a disharmony."

"For example, a certain number of people have been paid to destroy me. I know it. And I see it. Well, it can’t do anything, but it does give a little work—it SHOULDN’T give any work."

Aah, very interesting... the disharmony is arising from the resistance to the ongoing Supramentalisation process, not from the Central Government, but from the resistance movement insisting to "stay very quiet", clinging to the past that seeks to endure.

"They need a slap. That's all."

The Mother

We altogether continue on, with a bit more slapping, until there's only Harmony...

The Life Divine.

Om Namo Bhagavate 🙏🏼

Addendum:

"They need a slap. That's all."

And in the symbolic silliness of humans has emerged the "slapping competition". Just google it... intense symbolism of what ought not be, but is. It exists, which implies karmic choice, a most interesting feature of this Great Cosmic Game of the One Eternal and Infinite.

Thus in the infinite possibilities of this manifest existence, all possibilities must emerge: the darkest of the dark and the brightest of the Light and whatever else in between, for us to experience and aspire for a more Divine Manifestation:

"Man is a transitional being, he is not final."

"The whole earth must prepare itself for the advent of the new species, and Auroville wants to work consciously to hasten this advent."

"But, to live in Auroville, one must be a willing servitor of the Divine Consciousness."

A definitive choice amidst the Play of Opposites.

In the heightened receptivity of our pitiful absurdities and limitations yet endowed with limitless possibilities we now know why our current undivine modality as a human being is transitional, and the need to work consciously to hasten the advent of the new species the Divine Supramental being, or beingness, "a condition (of Divinity) to be shared and lived by all those who prepare themselves for it.”

Eternal Gratitude that in this Lila of the Supreme there is the Grace of being given a Consenting Choice:

To be Divine.

With that we give thanks to another lovegift from the Avatars, the easiest and most joyful path towards Divinity: the Sunlit Path of Surrender and Bhakti to the Supreme Divine Mother MahaShakti.

Here a loving offering by a bhakta:

  1. I've read your A Shared and Lived Divinity message in News and Notes three times, and I can see the master craftsmanship, see too other things, an ardent attempt at development for one, a great lofty pride for another. I do not know if you're hearing muse or composing lines or a combination of both, but, whatever the case, this is the standard stuff: pointing out the faults of others like you don't share them, and you do not write as though you see through the world the symbol that it is, we are, see that in any view of the world, even of garbage and drunkenness.

  2. Hi Donny,

In the Infinite Diversity of our Eternal Oneness, the Paradox of our very existence, perspectives are as unique as each individual, and my writings are a reflection of that uniqueness. How each individual perceives my written observations depends also on their uniqueness, of which we in our still imperfect and transitional state as mere human beings have no control of. Yet Something beyond ourselves compels us to act. With the Guidance of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, in the Sunlit Path of Surrender and Bhakti to the Supreme Divine Mother MahaShakti I act, I write, and leave whatever result to Her.

Below is the copy of the News & Notes post that you referred to, as reference to anyone who do not have access to it:

    Promptings to Fully Participate

Here are two interrelated writings, capped by a poem, to remind us in Spirit and Matter why we are in Auroville, specifically invited in accordance with the particular Vision-Goal and Guidance of our Avatar founders Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, and with both feet firmly grounded on Earth consciously and pragmatically participate in the collective task of preparing the City of Dawn for the many more generations needed before the blossoming of the Golden Age, the promised Life Divine on Earth:

"The whole earth must prepare itself for the advent of the new species, and Auroville wants to work consciously to hasten this advent."

    1. In Progressive Alignment with the Vision-Goal
    2. A Shared and Lived Divinity

    (available on this blog site)

    Someone in Auroville writes
    And another naively comments
On "What a Wonderful World" it is...

Until one goes around the City of Dawn
And sees all the garbage everywhere strewn
    By unconscious pretentious humans.

Now filth fills your creation –
Unwonderful rubbish, O Master of Life.
On the onset of spring full of mess
Blooms the mounds of plastic in the prison of mind.
Drunken humans huddle your Earth, bent like creepers.
Prayers for transformation ascend towards Your radiant sky.

Thankfully, "man is a transitional being."
"Man and the mind are not the last term of creation.
A Supramental being is in preparation."

    1. The Jar of Self-Righteousness

      I have used the sky
      an elevated running.
      I’m light on boxes.
      I don’t come across wearin’ a crown,
      but I engineer science
      to get us going,
      to get me going,
      but I engineer words
that come to me and I write down.
I have to fight I said that.
      I didn’t.
      They come from my sadhana,
      findin’ what’s inside.
      I spend my day there,
      not captured by the inside.
      I do work too.
      I’m a mechanic
      where my hands reach consciousness.
      Can’t be playin’ around.
I want to bring out of the stuff of life God.
I want to see the divinity in what I do.
      I fail all the time,
but I am bigger than my thought.
      I really rob the world
      of its ordinariness.
I can from this very poem
      grasp some meaning of God.

I don’t know what you show.
It’s big and it has Sri Aurobindo’s symbol on it,
      but it doesn’t mean him.
You seem to know a lot of stuff
      and have the vocabulary down,
but where do I find you?
      You are not revelatory.
You do not turn me on to God.
      You seem rigid and straight.
You do not seem down to earth.
You do not seem a lover of all of us.
You do not seem forgiving and kind.
I do not see your face,
      and I need to.
I need to know to you’re there for me,
and you would help me too
      if I called your name.

      They need to be slapped.
My God the Mother said that?
      Bein’ brave,
we have to take off her omniscience
when she was in the body.
      That’s not divinity wore.
That’s the Mother showin’ ill will,
and you go along with it
because you don’t know what else to do.
      She’s your God,
      your all supreme,
      or something like that.
      I understand your dilemma,
but we can’t take her every act God,
her words as though the Supreme said them,
and we make this mistake every time
      with these divine names.
Look what it’s done to you.
      You’re not divinity’s love street.
      You’re got the jargon down
      but not the love,
      and we need the love.

  3. I'd like to reply with a poem, but it's too long for your comment section. It's not just a reply to this one post, but to others that I've read. It's criticism and nobody likes that. You've defended yourself from mine so far, and I do not see you employing the yoga here and seeing what truth there might be in it. Anyway, the poem came in two parts over a week apart. Since the comment will appear last part first if I post the first part first, I'll post the last part first, and if I got that wrong, then you can put the poem together rather easily. Here's the last part:
I can be a much better sadhak,
and I’m not just humbly appeasing myself.
I lose the thread of consciousness all the time.
    I mess up.
    Do you?
I’ve criticized you as you appear to me.
I have seen only a pinpoint of your consciousness
    compared to your life experiences.
    I’ve just seen your words,
    and very few of those.
This is not fair I know,
but I’m having inner vision ride.
I could be dead wrong about your kindness and compassion,
but I do think you would judge me
    and harshly.

Oneness is not the pinpoint of your vision,
where I read your written words.
Can I explain to you its price?
    You see yourself first
    a message to mankind
    or at least Aurovillians.
Boy do I know that problem.
It’s the fundamental problem of us all,
even the drunk braggart on the street
    spewin’ out his worth.
My God just look at social media.
How do I show you oneness?
You fight yourself at the center.
You’re not on a lofty pedestal.
You’re in the trenches with man,
    identifyin’ with everybody.
This is the cost of your vision:
    you see everybody ride
    the principle point with you,
    that me we all glow,
    that somebody we all are,
and it just takes your breath away.

    Take off your mask
of the showman of the show
and get down to oneness springs.
    I think you’re put on a religion,
    got really good at it,
the consciousness of words to describe consciousness,
but a change of consciousness you don’t show,
as I encounter your words in time
and the what’s up behind them.
You worship the Mother and Sri Aurobindo,
and that for you is the road to Supermind.
    Surrender to them and all will be well;
    Supermind manifests.
    It does not.
    It is independent of them,
    who are its heralds.
    It is bigger than them.
    It’s not them.
    It’s a whole other process
    than any overmental teacher,
    than any cosmic divine.
    It has its own process
    nobody would believe
    it’s so down to earth
    and includes everything.

You don’t have to incantation to it.
    It’s the ground of everything,
    It founds the Earth.
It’s not to be worshiped or praised.
    It’s you,
the origin of all your lives,
    what’s you’re getting back to,
    the who that you are
and all the bigger who it looks up to.
Supramental process is out of this world
in the very bowels of it.
    Open a way,
    Sri Aurobindo and the Mother,
    incomplete.
    They tried.
    They did not succeed.
You hear them hold my hand?
Their presence makes the Earth glow
to those who can see them.
    They help.
    They hang you along,
and they are completing their yoga through us.
The open sincerity to that is too much
for people that take their every word as gospel,
what you are quoting from now.
    It’s definitely hard for me
gettin’ out where no footing is.
    I’m speaking from inner vision.
    Are you?

  4. Attendance of Emotional Shoes

I did the assault of the Holy Grail.
    Corruption pays price.
    I am hunted down.
How do I plead my case?
    I’m stupid aren’t I?
    I don’t know what I’m sayin’.
Well this is not history of blood.
    These are sadhana questions.
    Everybody gets it wrong,
and I can’t do the sadhana I set out to do.
    It’s too tall.
    It’s awesomely deep.
    It’s bigger than science.
    I am learning it slowly.

    There’s the world out there.
    I’ve internalized it greatly.
It gets my goat a lot,
but I don’t have to think
    or react to anything.
    I’m learning this.
    I’m learning calm rides all.
    It’s the first layer,
and I do not sit and dream of Sri Aurobindo.
I know he covered this ground
    and can help me,
and the Mother is the shakti I call on
for protection and to carry out God’s will.
I’m not tryin’ to realize them.
I don’t goal myself in their direction.
I call them teacher not God.

    I found them that way
    because I’d found Superemind,
and alls that I wanted was to get back up there.
Nobody in the world talks about Supermind but them.
    Nobody knows about it.
    I lasted several seconds,
    a half a minute maybe,
several meters over my head the God inside
    that everyone talks about
    but has no direction for.
    It’s another universe.
Sri Aurobindo describes it to a T.
    The Mother does not.
I can’t explain that to you.

    Years after that overhead experience
    I found the yoga
    and devoured it.
I’ve read Savitri a dozen times,
and it’s the leader of the yoga
    as far as books go,
    unfinished,
    incomplete,
    with contradictions because of it.
I had been a competent translator of Classical Greek,
a very educated reader of Savitri
    and Sri Aurobindo’s other works.
    I’ve studied the Mother
    intensely,
but the Mother I have inner contact with
    has grown since then,
when she was in the body
    comin’ up against her incarnation
she could not or did not fulfill
as in let’s take this veil off
    and reveal the divine mother.
Her struggle’s quite apparent in her works.
I would not trust The Agenda
as the divine mother said it.
Evidence of the Mother’s ego there,
    but not only there.

I know I’m steppin’ on your toes,
    and pardon the intrusion
    into your religious beliefs,
but we must grasp these things.
I have the spiritual certainty of someone who has seen the sun,
    and so my yoga,
the sadhana I do of our yoga,
does not center around the Mother and Sri Aurobindo.
    I bake inside
ever the world is a representation I must step across
    to find its meaning,
and it’s not Supermind I luster.
It’s the God of the whole,
    and increasingly,
it’s the Unknowable one thing are.
    I feel it,
    imagine its process.
    The world becomes dim sometimes,
    and I imagine the whole.
    This is physical vision.

    Every day I’m there
    in this symbol-wrought universe
runnin’ the world through my hands
    the stadium
we have to work out God.
    I live there,
    approaching the Silence every day
    and then fallin’ from it,
letting the world take over my mind.
Would it not for the psychic being
    I would give up.
I can’t get over the Gods
    and how they use us.
    Our pain is their road,
    and sometimes that’s Sri Aurobindo
    putting his work before me,
    the Mother abandoning me,
and the psychic being comes in
    and mitigates that.

    I surface the psychic being.
It’s where the great big feelings of oneness come from,
    the empathy,
    the identity,
    the feeling everybody’s pain.
I can’t tell you how this rides my day.
I can’t keep it on the surface long.
    I just do my day,
    realizin’ its symbol worth
and applying the psychic being to my stumbles.
    It’s an awesome day,
    but it’s not realized.
    It’s just on the way.

    Now I’ve entered your sadhana
    a disruptor.
I know you don’t give me that credit.
I’m a heretic and a blasphemer at best,
    a rude individual.
    No I’m not.
    You need help young man,
    and it’s been given.
    It’s here.

  6. The inability to concede a point, to humble yourself and admit your own struggles, to just say hey guy I hear you, even if you don't agree with me, to at least note that the inner capacity you are hearing is not garbage, is not being sincere, but what really shows that is how you now show a photo of yourself. Is that to show I'm wrong? You're not a young man but have a grey beard, else why didn't you show yourself when you replied to me before, and I had asked you to? I just wrote down what came from inside without changing it, knowing my muse could be wrong, and maybe it simply was, but maybe too it has some inner notion of your nature and how you'd capitalize on its mistake, which would show you see this as more a competition, which is not a sincere reaction to my criticisms. Maybe too it's talking about how young you are in things other than physical age. At any rate, we both failed here to communicate, and there is no need to continue, unless you feel there is. There is only left to say that your short poem, the first one, is excellent and shows deep thought, high thought, although it is a bit disconcerting. The original poem you published in News and Notes, which began my comments, is definitely above the bar of poetry, so well said, and I've already said what I don't like about it.

  7. Prime Objective

    No mere human being
    However wise and powerful
    Can bring peace on Earth
In a physical body still mortal.

    All these mortal limitations
    And painful annihilations
    Are not just woeful lessons
    But direct impulsions
    For Something else.

Thus the rationale of the Avatars' Auroville
The City of Dawn of a being Supramental,
    Where conscious preparatory works
To hasten the advent of the new apex species
Is the Prime Objective of the collective action.

For True Aurovilians man is transitional
To be superseded by a being immortal
With a body of Divine Light mutable
Endowed with a Direct Divine Willpower
    Over its awakened glorious Matter.

In the hastening evolution of consciousness
And life on playing field Earth the marvellous
    Coming very soon

    The Life Divine.
